Practical instructions on productivity.
I've been reading a lot about the science and psychology of productivity. Although these books and materials have been full of powerful insights, they often lose applicability in everyday work.
My vision is to take insights from productivity books, articles, and resources, and translate them into practical, actionable guides — mixed with my own learnings — for improving how you work.
Goals are vital for continued growth and self-reflection. They help motivate us by establishing a clear and consistent personal vision aligned with actionable objectives. They drive us forward and enhance our ability to think critically, realistically, and conceptually about what we want to accomplish. I’d like to talk about my methods for setting goals — that is, how I go about selecting and defining my yearly goals.
At this point, I’ll assume you have a fine-tuned list of goals spanning all the major areas and contexts of your life. They are lofty — but attainable — measurable, and in alignment with your personal core values. So now let's talk about how we can actually achieve those goals.
Understanding how habits (and our brains) work allows us to build healthier, more productive lifestyles that give back time rather than take it away. Habits are an essential part of productivity, and they put our daily patterns on the right track.
